our story
When professional climbers Shauna Coxsey and Ned Feehally became parents to little Frankie they knew their lives had changed forever.
Ned’s endless creativity led to him tinkering with hold designs soon after Frankie was born and she had her first climbing wall before she could even walk. In fact it helped her to learn to walk.
Shauna and Ned have an undeniable connection to the sport, and both wanted to introduce their daughter to the world of climbing without pressure or expectation.
Ned wanted to make holds that inspired curiosity, encouraged confidence and gave Frankie her own space to explore movement. So he crafted and developed climbing holds that worked for little hands, looked fun and inspired.
It wasn’t long before friends and family started asking to get some little holds for their little ones too.
Mini beasts was born out of a desire to make climbing accessible, enjoyable and fun for little hands.
“I get to fall in love with climbing all over again through Frankie. Seeing Frankie’s passion and love for a sport that has given me so much, is a joy I can barely put into words” - Shauna Coxsey
Shauna and Ned teamed up with Arona Morrison, working together to bring mini beasts holds to life.
Arona has worked with children for over a decade, many of which were spent coaching young climbers, and with a background in product design, a degree in sports engineering, plus over 2 decades of climbing experience herself it felt a natural fit for them to go on this adventure together.
The mini beasts team is dedicated to staying curious and growing together. Every hold we make is an invitation to invent, explore, and turn spaces into new worlds for little ones.
Arona, Shauna, Ned and Frankie would like to thank you for being a part of team mini beasts climbing community.
